This workshop is designed for those just starting out with soap making, who are curious about how soap is made or who want to embark in a creative and useful hobby. Our workshop will teach you techniques that will help you make exquisite skincare products in your own home.
During the workshop you will be making your own soap and take some of it away with you to enjoy later.
We always like to use good quality vegetable oils which nourish the skin, as well as essential oils and herbs.
No animal products are used, so this is suitable for vegans.
We will go into detail about the soap making process and share our many years experience so you will always make a great batch of soap. I'll cover equipment, ingredients, and most importantly safety. Come learn how simple it is to make a fantastic bar of soap!
What we will cover in the workshop:
· the basics of how soap is made,
· the best ingredients to use,
· how long to cure it for,
· natural colours,
· fragrance/essential oils,
· using a lye calculator,
· moulds and suppliers.
There will be a handout for you to take home.
All the ingredients are provided, including a mould and essential oils.
We use lovely quality vegetable oils and natural colours as well as pure essential oils.
