About the Course

You will be shown how to use the disperse dyes and crayons by painting printing and taking rubbings from textural plates onto thin paper creating a series of textures with the dyes and crayons that can then be layered by using a variety of objects from cut stencils to delicate original plant forms to create a resist image. You will take home a folder of samples and a small covered notebook together with a sheet listing stockists and some ideas for further development. You will need to bring some small soft watercolour brushes, if possible but there will be some brushes available to borrow on the day. I often use small delicate leaves and plants such as cow parsley and ferns to act as resist images so you may wish to bring some small plants of your own to use. These will work better if dried for a week or so between sheets of paper towel and weighed down under something heavy.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
