About the Course
Create vibrant colours, patterned fabrics and 3D forms with wet-felted wool fibres and explore dry bonding using 'embellisher' machines. Blend fibres for subtle colour and layered effects. Learn the basic processes and make a series of inspirational samples or small finished item. Techniques include flat and hand moulded felts, bonded layers and sliced rolls. Bonded and felted fabrics make ideal backgrounds for embroidery, can be developed as wearable items, 3D textile jewellery or art pieces. Be inspired by a wide range of samples and visual references in this stimulating workshop.
