About the Course
If you have a great camera, but you're not confident that you feel you know how to use it to the best of its ability, then this programme can help you learn great photography techniques through fun and practical sessions.
I set up this programme back in 2015 because I wanted to offer a more genuine learning experience for my students - one that enabled people to develop their skills rather than just filling their heads with lots of technical information. I still wholeheartedly embrace being as 'low tech' as possible in explaining how cameras works!
Spending 6 months with people watching their skills and confidence grow is so rewarding and I am so proud of what previous students have achieved.
Having a growing community of people who love their cameras and photography means this programme isn't the end!
Suitable for the complete beginner and for anyone wanting to refresh their skills and knowledge. Suitable for DSLR's, CSC cameras and most bridge cameras.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

Thoroughly enjoyed this excellent course. Sarah is patient, knowledgable and a brilliant teacher. By the end of the course I was confident with using my DSLR on manual all the time. I also learnt to look at the world differently and my composition has improved. Still learning, of course, but Sarah put a great foundation down. Would recommend to everyone who has a DSLR camera that never comes off Auto!

I got such a lot out of this course and really gained an enormous amount of confidence in my camera. Sarah is a great teacher and encourages students to think outside the box and expand their skills. There is a growing community of past students who share their work, experiences and tips through social media links so the learning continues. I cannot recommend this course highly enough.
