Designing for Tapestry Weaving
Contact course provider
About the Course
A creative approach to design with tapestry artist Fiona Rutherford at her home based studio in Edinburgh.
18th/19th November 2017
Design is integral to the creation of a tapestry. Over the two days students will go through a series of steps from the sketchbook to the loom, finding ways to simplify the design process using collage and mixed media. The primary focus will be on the use of colour and yarns that weave a tapestry to life. Although the focus is on tapestry weaving students of other textile media may also find the workshop valuable.
This weekend workshop gives you “time out” to discuss and explore your ideas in a creative atmosphere.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
