About the Course

EVENING or MORNING WORKSHOPS at Ramsden Bellhouse and Little Baddow

Whether you're a complete beginner or have been sewing for years we have skilled tutors for all abilities. ready to take you to the next step.

No need to book a whole course. At Stitching Time you fit your classes around your busy lifestyle. Come once a week, once a month, anytime - whenever you need help we're there.

Bring along your own project for help and guidance on the tricky parts or start a new pattern with your own fabric or choose some from our selection.

Stitching Time workshops specialise in teaching you how to make clothes that fit YOU: We show you how to customise your patterns, finding the strategic points on your body so that you can alter your pattern for a lower or higher bust, short or high waist and hip. We'll even help you identify areas such as uneven slope on your shoulders and show you how to alter your pattern so that your clothes hang better.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a regular dressmaker you'll learn something new every time you come to a workshop at Stitching Time.

You'll learn tricks and tips to make your sewing easier and more accurate and you can try out our overlocker and cover-stitch machines. If you need a specialised course for your overlocker or want to learn pattern-making we do that too.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

Free refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the session.

We have two venues to choose from:
Ramsden Bellhouse CM11 1RH on Monday mornings from 9.30 to 12.30
Little Baddow Memorial Hall CM3 4TA on Wednesdays mornings from 9.30 to 12.30 and Wednesday evenings from 6.30 to 9.00. If you're coming straight from work in the evening we have a large kitchen where you can warm up your food if you need sustenance before you start sewing.

Bring your own machine and sewing kit or hire ours. We have a good selection of (cheaper than the shops) equipment, threads and lots of lovely fabrics should you need them.

Each venue has easy parking and disabled access. If you have any mobility issues please let us know and we will help you to bring your equipment into the workshop.

Want to review this course?

It is everything I was looking for in a course. A very relaxed, kind, and inviting class. Could not of made me more welcome and it was one to one teaching.
I am a complete beginner.. the time flew by.
So flexible as well which is just perfect for erratic lifestyles ..
Try this course, you won’t be disappointed.
