Even though these are basic bushcraft courses they are designed to simulate real-life situations, to teach you the methods of creating your own equipment from your surroundings or to teach you to apply basic techniques to any given scenario.

Cost £100 per day for an adult, children £75 per day for a day's tuition from 10am to 4pm. These courses run all year round preferably on a Sunday but midweek can be arranged. Please contact Stuart via email or mobile for course details and timings.

You will be tutored in how to live comfortably and above all how to respect the forest. This is a hands on course where you are taught knife usage and safety, shelter building, how to make your own tools and utensils. In the evening chill out and enjoy food round the campfire.

Special day with my lad and a great teacher. Fun and a lot of knowledge shared. Recommended.

Dad and lad had a grand day out. Learned a lot and from a great tutor. Shelter making a lot of fun.

-

Great fun day - knew some stuff but this went above and beyond. Very knowledgeable guy who has bags of time for you. Highly recommended.

-

New to this but a friendly, unhassled approach gave me the confidence to really enjoy what was being taught. Feel I could fend for myself if need be. Recommended.

-

Amazing what you can do with a bundle of sticks! By the end of the day I felt I had really learned some new skills. Friendly and informative approach.

-

Really enjoyable day for both me and my 12 year old son. We covered firelighting, rabbit skinning and butchery and basic shelter building. We both came away armed with additional knowledge and an enthusiasm to put into practice what we had learned.

-

Excellent day spent between bushcraft and forging a rustic knife. Great teacher - patient and friendly - defo one to go on for a whole lot of skill learning.

-

Half day course in firelighting methods. What I thought I knew was nothing to what I was taught. You have heard of Bear Grylls well Stuart is just as good in my opinion! Time and moeny well spent.

-

Half days's specialist course in tracking, firelighting and advanced shelter building. Already had a basic knowledge but this took me beyond that and taught me a lot that I did not know. Stuart is patient and does not hurry you. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.

-

I did a one to one session with Stuart and was a bit apprehensive being a complete novice but I did not have to worry as Stuart is a very pleasant, easygoing and attentive tutor and is an excellent teacher. Under his direction I happily came away having learned how to start a fire using 3 different methods, I made a basic lean-to shelter and also learned some forraging techniques. Book a course with Stuart as he makes it a very individual experience and has a wealth of knowledge to share. Highly recommended.

Customer Testimonial
My son is very interested in bush-craft and survival so we asked Stuart to come along and teach us some practical skills such as making shelters, basic knife work, making fire naturally and animal tracking. Stuart obviously knows his stuff and was a good, patient but demanding teacher (no bad thing for a youngster IMO). My son's comment on the day "it was interesting and fun and I learnt a lot of things". We'll be doing more "dads and lads" stuff with Stuart next year. Dave (49 ¾) and Elliot (9 ¾)

Brilliant day out was had by all! Daughter aka Feral loved the whole thing (me too) especially the fire lighting! I've now been given a wish list, and she's already raided my stuff to make up a survival kit. "Incase of the end of the world, or a zombie attack"? Bush craft was taught with good humour, endless patience and a shed load of knowledge :)
