About the Course
Learn how to make curtains professionally. This course is aimed at beginners with little or no experience in making curtains and soft furnishings and will cover all the techniques required for making lined curtains using curtain heading tape. You will also learn how to make cushion covers, tiebacks, valances and learn many other tips and techniques used in creating soft furnishings.
All of our courses are held in a custom built log cabin style workshop set in surrounding woodland with views overlooking the nearby duckpond and surrounding valley. The workshop is fully fitted out for craft use with large desks, a range of domestic and industrial sewing machines including overlocker, blind hemming machine, eyelet machine, sewing tools, haberdashery and linings. We also stock a small selection of fabrics for soft furnishing use should you wish to purchase some. The workshop has a small kitchen area and washing and toilet facilities.
Student numbers are limited to four, our courses run Tuesday - Thursday from 10.00 in the morning until 3.0 pm in the afternoon.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

I loved this course. Linda is a fantastic tutor and the resulting curtains are exactly as I had planned (but could never have executed alone!) An extremely pleasant three days and the cottages and scenery is gorgeous too.
