Cruelty free felted fleece rug

Ideal draped across the back of a chair for display

A truly unique and original, cruelty free, hand felted 'Viking Fleece Rug/Display Piece'

How this was made

My gorgeous Icelandic sheep take a whole year to grow their beautiful fleeces, which are then either 'roo'ed' (lifted off carefully by hand when the sheep fleece has 'risen', similar to moulting) or sheared by our very experienced shearer Dai.

Once the fleece is off the sheep I take time to clean out as much vegetable matter as is possible, but some may remain. Then it's off to my felting studio, where I add extra wool to the back of the fleece to give the finished piece extra strength.

Made entirely by hand and nature.
