About the Course
Learn the traditional skills of crochet using a natural vegetable fibre with a Scottish heritage.
Maite Allwood of ‘Knotty_but_nice’, works from her home in Angus. After knitting for 30years she taught herself to crochet, developing this into a small business. Maite lives beside one of the last twine producers in the UK and so uses twine as her main yarn. For use both indoors and out with a focus on practicality, your creations are intended to be used and enjoyed!
Maïté will introduce basic crochet techniques such as the magic loop, double crochet, half treble and single chain. Students will create a small plant plot holder in the colour of their choice using Nutscene twine.
Come and refresh your skills or...start from scratch!
You will leave with a pattern for your creation so that you can continue to practise making more at home.
