About the Course
A half day walk and creative writing workshop with Jurassic Coast Poet-in-Residence, Sarah Acton. Through walking and reflection, we welcome the energies of the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water, connecting us to the seasonal changes in the landscape of Trill Farm over the course of the year and letting the sparks of creativity fly. We will walk, listen and consider as we walk how each element runs through our language, our stories, and our lives, whilst also pausing to write and note our experiences in along the way.
Each session will include a gentle walk where you'll be invited through observation, memory and imagination, to draw inspiration from the grounds and woodland of Trill's natural environment to stimulate your own reflective response. After that, we’ll continue with a guided session in the Craft Workshop. Expect stimulating exercises, together with a selection of readings, discussion and creative community.
All ages and abilities welcome. The course is suitable for those interested in developing their own writing skills and/or have a deep interest in exploring the natural world through literary works.
