About the Course
British designer and maker Jo Gordon hosts creative ring making workshops at her Cotswold Studio at Upper Court, Kemerton. Having trained in traditional jewellery making techniques at the renowned Birmingham School of Jewellery and with a degree in Jewellery Design, Jo went on to create her own brand of handmade statement jewellery, FERA Jewellery, which is sold all over the world. She is also currently a jewellery designer for Beards Jewellers in Cheltenham and has worked for many prestigious names in the Jewellery Industry.
Jo creates statement pieces in recycled silver and gold that are inspired by talismans, tribal cultures and her adventures travelling around the globe. Her work is full of symbolism and reminiscent of ancient relics from a lost time.
Her passion for wax carving and organic forms has led her to offer creative workshops from her picturesque studio at Upper Court in Kemerton. During the 2 hour session you will learn about ancient jewellery making techniques, and carve a ring or pendant of your own for Jo to cast into silver, finish, polish and hallmark for you. Anyone is welcome and no previous jewellery experience is necessary, it’s a fun workshop in a beautiful and inspirational setting designed to give you a taste of creating your own jewellery
