Course Start DatesSaturday 21st March 2020
About the Course
Over the weekend you'll carve a sculpture from a piece of local Bath stone. Bring along a sketch or an idea and after choosing your lump of stone you can slowly let the sculpture escape from the block. As the groups are small, I can give you advice and ideas as well as technical knowledge on the best way to develop your sculpture. I'll try and make it a really good creative and social weekend.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
You will be provided with everything you need. Tools, stone, and a fine home cooked lunch. If the weather is warm enough we can sit and eat outside with stunning views over Chew Valley lake. If not, in our warm farmhouse kitchen. My studio is in an old grain store, part of a Victorian model farm, high up on the north side of the Mendip Hills, south of Bristol and only half an hour's drive from the beautiful city of Bath. I can recommend accommodation in the area, from campsites and pubs to stately homes, if it's required. The area has fantastic walking and many other outdoor pursuits which can easily be arranged.
