Description

Draping is an alternative method of pattern cutting, offering increased creativity and a different way to understand how 2D shapes translate into 3D garments. Draping is an important part of the design process, it is an extremely useful method to widen knowledge of design, shape and proportions of a garment. A garment or a specific detail is created by working directly onto a mannequin and each term a different garment type will be taught - Autumn: the skirt, Spring: the bodice, Summer: the dress. It is essential that you read the entry requirements carefully before enrolling on this course.
