About the Course
The aim of this fun one-day workshop is to make a decorative mirror surround in terracotta clay using your own imagination and design. No previous experience is needed and you will be taught techniques in preparing, sculpting and attaching clay shapes. A variety of tools and household items will be used to explore creating a mixture of textures and patterns. Finished pieces will be dried and fired after the course for collection at a later date with mirror attached.
Jo Burnell is a Dorset-based potter making a variety of earthenware pieces - all decorated in bold and colourful designs inspired by her garden and local countryside. She has been running workshops throughout the UK for many years and exhibits regularly as part of Dorset Art Weeks as well as with a number of galleries in the South West.
