About the Course
As recommended in Ideal Homes Magazine!...
Whether you wish to add to your existing skills or need to know the fundamental techniques of beautiful gift wrapping, our inspiring classes will teach you how to wrap your gifts perfectly. Professional Gift Wrapping Tutor, Jo Thompson reveals the tricks of the trade and covers a wide range of techniques including perfectly wrapped boxes, awkward shapes and those all important finishing touches – bows!
In all our classes we offer a personal approach, limiting place numbers to ensure all our students receive ‘hands on’ training and the time necessary to learn all the techniques. Our small groups provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where you can learn with confidence and leave excited to put your new skills to the test, time and time again. Once you’ve been on one of our courses, wrapping your presents will NEVER be the same again.
Whether you book on your own or with a friend you're guaranteed a great day full of learning and fun. Please see our reviews and if you'd like a special gift for a loved one, ask us about our gift wrapping day vouchers.

Today I attended the ‘Creative Spring Gift Wrapping’ course, run by Jo, that was held at Horsley Hall in Derby. It was a surprise birthday present from a friend who knows me very well and the gift was just perfect. Jo was friendly, welcoming and above all very knowledgable; she can make something from nothing! The day was well structured, well paced and the venue itself just perfect for this type of day. We carried out a number of wrapping tasks, learning tricks and techniques along the way that will without doubt be of use in everyday situations. Being able to take examples of our achievements home meant friends and family were able to see the fruits of the days labour and needless to say they were very impressed! Thank you for a great day Jo, I’ll be recommending ‘More Pretty Things’ to friends and colleagues.

What a fantastic day, fun and informative. Jo is a brilliant teacher, explaining everything clearly and patiently and demonstrating the techniques clearly, even awkward shapes are now not scary any more! No more shop bought gift bags for me from now on, I'm inspired!
Horsley Lodge as a venue is easy to find and very welcoming. We were really well looked after with freshly baked biscuits and home made scones at lunch time. All beautifully decorated for Christmas too.
Thoroughly recommend this course and Jo as a teacher,
