Create a hedgerow basket from foraged materials at Butser ancient Farm in South Downs National Park
Description
Join me at this lovely ancient farm venue in the South Downs National Park.
We will start the day exploring and harvesting materials from around the farm and hedgerows and them combine them with a mixture of willow and previously prepared gathered materials to create a small basket.
You will be able to create a basket that is quite decorative as shown here or one that is a little more sturdy, it all depends on the materials that you are drawn to.
The workshop is suitable for people with any level of weaving experience, including complete beginners. you will need some strength in your hands to work with the materials.
Please bring your own gardening gloves and secateurs and wear practical clothes/ shoes.and your own lunch
