About the Course
Create a random/open weave basket 1/2 day workshop a great way to create a sculptural basket which is just that little bit different..
A great introduction to willow sculpture not only will you create a lovely item , you will gain some of the skills that you will help you to create larger items. Other half day topics include working with live/ green willow to create live willow domes and fedges, open weave baskets , simple birds, bird houses , medium willow globes and garden items e.g. obelisks, plant climbers ,bird feeders, plant trellises.
I provide a variety of introductory half day willow sculpture workshops. The workshops are ideal for all levels of experience but is steered towards participants who have a little or no experience of making a willow sculpture and so is an ideal introduction to the art. As well as offering activities at various venues I also provide bespoke activities and training for small groups as well as private bookings for special occasions.

What's included in the price?
All tools and materials are included along with drinks and snacks . I like to keep my attendee numbers low to enable me to provide assistance where needed with a maximum of 8 participants attending per day.
Please also bring an apron or wear clothing that you like working in. Please also note that working with willow can be tiring on the hands and will be difficult for you to do if you have conditions such as arthritis if this is the case please contact me as I many be able to assist you with using alternative materials.
You are welcome to bring your own secateurs and gloves if you wish to.
Please note that the workshops are likely to take place somewhere near Eastleigh in Hampshire but note that the venue may change to another local venue
