Beginners Fused Glass Workshop in the Creative with Nature studio gallery in Todmordon, West Yorkshire.
Workshops start at 10.30 am and finish at 4.30 pm.
This workshop is ideal for those who fancy a relaxing and peaceful day of creativity. It is a brilliant workshop which allows participants to be introduced to the wonderful world of Glass Fusing. The techniques used are easy to pick up and you will create a range of beautiful glass items that can be treasured or given away as special gifts.
During the workshop you will make a set of dichroic glass jewellery combining a pendant with matching earrings or ring. You will hand-decoupage a jewellery box to keep your beautiful sparkly jewels in! On the workshop you will learn how to score and cut glass to make a hanging star and you will also create a coaster and a slump dish! All this in one day with time for a delicious lunch and cheeky glass of wine at a local cafe.
I offer these workshops to individuals and private groups, they are designed for art and craft lovers, beginners or experienced crafters, and for those who simply want to enjoy a creative day out. The workshops have proved popular with mothers and daughters and family and friends who wish to spend some quality time together. The workshops are run from the light and airy Creative with Nature gallery in Todmordon, the neighboring town to Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley. The gallery is an exciting and inspiring venue with changing exhibitions and willow weaving work created by local artists and crafts people.
I am currently running full day workshops in Felted Textiles and Beginners Glass Fusing with an option to book private workshops in Experimental Printing and Mosaics. I run one Fused Glass and Felting workshop per month for individuals to book onto, with extra dates available for private group bookings. Workshops have a maximum of eight participants. I am a fully qualified Art and Design teacher who has taught GCSE and A Level Art for the past 15 years. I have been running art and craft workshops for adults for 6 years. My previous craft company was called Crafts Afloat.
