Crafting with English Rush

Nower Wood educational nature reserve

Description

Learn how to weave with soft and supple rush. Growing in the lakes and slow moving rivers of England, rush has been used for centuries to make baskets, mats, hats and all manner of items. Expert weaver and tutor, Louise Arthur, will guide you through several small craft items and provide all the tools and materials. Manual dexterity and patience required.

"This is a really lovely course. The tutors were warm and welcoming and the festive music and treats made for a lovely Christmassy feel. The tuition and pointers were very well presented and the set up was very relaxed. I left with a beautiful wreath. I would highly recommend. Great with a friend or on your own. "
