In this session you will learn how to upcycle old hard back books into new notebooks using Coptic Book Binding techniques. Coptic book binding creates a book that folds completely flat and is perfect for sketchbooks. Coptic book binding dates back to 2nd Century AD making it one of the oldest forms of book binding.

There will be course notes for you to take home, with information on what tools you've used and where you can get all the stuff you need to bind your own books at home!

This workshop will take place at a Touch of Craft, a fantastic new creative space in Ossett! Sadly this space is not wheelchair accessible .

Course conditions:

The workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this the workshop will be cancelled. Your booking is secured by payment and if you choose to cancel you get a refund up to 2 weeks before the event however after that no refund can be given.

There will be hand sanitiser available, social distancing in place and spaces will be limited. If you feel unwell, have symptoms of covid or have been in contact with anyone who has please let me know so you can be moved onto a future session. If we go into another lockdown this workshop will be postponed until a safe date.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
