About the Course
Copper is a fascinating and beautiful metal with a rich heritage. It is also endlessly recyclable with very little loss in quality, making it a sustainable choice. It’s warm pinkish sheen and adaptable surface texture and finish, make it a favourite of craftspeople all over the world....including me!!
During this workshop, we will upcycle reclaimed copper into stunning ‘new’ things of beauty; considering both form and function. We will use a wide range of tools to anneal, cut, shape, form and finish the metal, learning about the processes and techniques employed by craftspeople across the ages.
Taking part in such activities in a woodland environment enhances not only the enjoyment of the process but also the benefits of creativity and learning…this is such a valuable experience and some would argue, a necessary one…so what are you waiting for?!
