About the Course
This 1 day Colour Theory course has been designed to give artists of all abilities a hands on and in-depth look into the world of colour.
The course will allow you to develop a greater understanding of colour theory, which will enhance your knowledge of art and make your own painting process much easier.
During the course you will spend time exploring the importance of tone and temperature when attempting to mix accurate colours as well as looking at how famous artists of the past used colour theory to enhance their work
Artists attending these courses are welcome to work in either oil or acrylics which are provided.
Other items required for this course;
- A selection of paint brushes suitable for oil or acrylic painting.
All other tools and materials are provided but artists are welcome to bring their own preferred materials if they wish.

What's included in the price?
Tea, Coffee, biscuits and cold refreshments will be available throughout the day. Lunch is not provided although The Phoenix Tea Rooms, just next door, provide an array of meals, light lunches and snacks. Alternatively, there is a fridge and microwave in the studio kitchen for you to use if you prefer to bring your own lunch.
I was VERY inspired! After studying art and design at college over 30 years ago, and not having drawn or painted for about 15 years, my passion for painting was reignited after a course with Peter. His manner and way of teaching is superb!!! Truly inspirational!
