About the Course
Create a full colour linocut print using the reduction method (each print created from one piece of lino) using your own ideas and designs.
This informative and friendly course will introduce you to the process of making full colour linocuts, by hand without a press, using the reduction method. You will learn how to turn your ideas into a design drawing appropriate for print and will work on a single piece of lino per image, cutting the block away as you print each layer of colour. You will be using a wide array of premixed inks to create six finished prints per block. This course will explore getting the most from your mark making and cutting along with the skills needed to print a clean and crisp multi-layered print.
You will take home your finished colour prints along with a comprehensive fact sheet and advice for printing at home without a printing press.
