Moving on to Colour Reduction Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

Charming still life 2 colour reduction print

The aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly, supportive, experimental, and fun experience where you will develop your previous experience and skill with lino printing techniques. The course will cover how to prepare your image, from planning and cutting each colour stage to printing and registering each colour layer.

We will start by preparing an image/drawing ready to be transferred onto ‘softcut’ lino. You will be guided through how to plan each colour stage before cutting your lino design, then you'll be shown how to register your paper to achieve successful and accurate layers of print. There will be a range of coloured papers to print onto which will extend the opportunities for colour combinations.
It will only be achievable to print two (possibly 3) layers of colour in a day, giving you the option to complete a two/three colour reduction print (plus the paper colour) or to take work home to be continued. The prints will still be ‘tacky’ at going home time so you will need to consider how you could transport them home – spread out in the back of the car would work.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
