On this one day collagraph printing course you will learn the basics of the collagraph process, allowing you to create all forms of textures and patterns within your collagraph image(s). Collagraphy is a printing process using a textured plate.
You will be able to make one or more different collagraphs. For artists of all ages and levels of experience.
Bill Cummins specialises in oil painting and all forms of printmaking. His work has been exhibited widely – including at the Royal Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy and Lakes Artists – and he has taught all forms of art activity for many years.
Experience
There are no specific requirements for this course, but if you wish to bring along any ideas about designs for your print, or if you wish to bring any materials – fabric, paper and card, plant material, etc to use in its creation – then these could be incorporated into your print design.
The studio is set in the beautiful grounds of Greystoke Castle Estate, the studio is fully equipped, bright, spacious and well lit, catering for all ages and abilities. The class is taught in a small group (maximum of 5 people) so there is plenty of opportunity for one-to-one tuition with Bill.

All materials are provided but you may wish to bring along your own images/ideas for the course. Please see the detail in the description above.
Tea and coffee is provided but please bring your own lunch. The local shop sells a small selection of sandwiches.
