Collagraph printmaking in the Dales

About the Course
Come and spend some time developing your printmaking skills in a relaxing, supportive environment. Workshops are open to all and being small groups only, are individually tailored to ability. All workshops are run by myself, I've taught art for over 25 years as well as creating my own work, and take place in my studio in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
A day spent learning collagraph printing techniques.
We will focus on exploring textures and using a range of marks and techniques to make a collagraph plate in the morning. In the afternoon you will be shown how to ink and print from your plate, making a small edition of prints. The final prints you produce will very much depend on your interests so if you have sketches, photos or designs you would like to work from bring them along, if not there are plenty of natural forms to work from in and around the studio or photographs I can provide.
Horton in Ribblesdale is on the Settle-Carlisle line so possible by public transport. The workshop is family friendly and my studio has wheelchair access, although easily accessible the toilet is up a gravel drive. Please state if mobility assistance will be needed.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

This course was really good fun, Penny was an excellent tutor and we went home with some lovely prints too!
Chris Horsewill - - #13039
Very much enjoyed the mono print and dry point etching workshop run by Penny who was very informative . I produced a number of prints from my dry point etching and was rather pleased with myself with the finished results.
The mono print is a technique I am able to do at home and intend to do so.
This is the second workshop I have attended, the first was ceramics hand build ,thoroughly enjoyable too.
Donna Ford - - #12962
Penny explained everything clearly with demonstrations of all the techniques and provided notes which also included examples of other artists' work.
We had a very enjoyable day, learned lots and all produced a few prints to keep.
I am looking forward to attending another of her workshops.
