Who is this course for
Ever bought something and thought to yourself What If? . Well here is your opportunity to make that 'What If' possible. Come along and have fun learning how to adapt and customize your clothes into new and exciting garments in our new re-vamping workshop. Learn a few tips and tricks to creatively recycle your old clothes, or simply alter them to give you an individual look. Places are limited so sign up as soon as possible and be sure to scroll down to see what you will need.
What does this course cover
Customise in the form of embellishment with beads, sequins, lace trims, buttons, embroidery etc. Add a frill or a ruffle, change the buttons, apply new trims or try out any other ideas you bring along. This short course focuses on basic sewing techniques. It would be beneficial to have some basic sewing machine skills. If you can't use a sewing machine you can hand sew. A course for both men and women. Customise 1 - 2 pieces of your clothing on this new and inspirational course.
By the end of the course you should be able to:
Measure, design and apply fashion flair to adapt your own garments
Make simple alterations to the garments that you bring in
Demonstrate hand and machine sewing skills
Evaluate your own work and that of others in the group
Create a safe working environment.
