About the Course
A day of fun and relaxation held at 'The Pottery' in the beautiful countryside near Henley on Thames. Learn the art of hand-building pots and vessels with pinch, coil and slab methods.
Workshops will give the participant a chance to experiment and play with the clay and the keen student could have as many 7 or more small pieces by the end of the day. Most go on to glaze their pieces on a further glazing day.
If you would like to glaze your pieces after the first kiln firing, glazing workshops take place on another day. Classes are limited to a maximum of 4 people.
Visit my website (click on the button above) to learn more.
Corporate and Team Building Workshops with clay can be arranged for larger groups of up to 10.

I attended both the pottery making day and the glazing day...what a treat. I made 15 pieces, my Christmas shopping is sorted! But that’s not all, these two days were like going on holiday for a week, calm tranquil creativity, wonderful wholesome lunch and incredible chocolate chip cookies! Highly recommended !

I absolutely loved the course: it was an experience rather than just a Workshop! A peaceful and gorgeous location, great company from the Trisha and the other attendees, amazing food and calm, considered, expert tuition.
It was such a treat for me, more than I was expecting and I left feeling relaxed and also really proud of my little pots and bowls. Can’t wait for glazing day. Thanks Trisha.

I have enjoyed two wonderful days with Trisha in her pottery shed. The first learning the methods of working with the clay and the second learning how to glaze the pieces I had made.
Trisha is a brilliant potter herself and her own wonderful pieces along with her very relaxed way of teaching I found really inspiring.
The whole day is a truly relaxing yet very informative experience. Topped of with great coffee, homemade cake, and a delicious lunch.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who has never worked with clay as well as to potter's looking for an inspirational experience.
Thank you so much for two wonderful days Trisha and I hope to return soon.

A wonderful way to relax and free your mind as you first create your pieces and then return to glaze them. Trisha is very welcoming and immediately makes you feel at home and at ease in her workshop. She gently guides you through the process, making suggestions whilst letting you find your own way with the clay and glazes. There are no rules, which is liberating. Trisha is also a great host and ensures her guests are well watered and fed. Highly recommended.

This was the second time I took this course, as I so enjoyed my first encounter with Trisha and the clay! The atmosphere, as before, was serene and positive, and it was lovely to spend the whole day with like-minded, kind and supportive people. It was such a relaxing experience and Trisha is really patient, helpful and the perfect guide to help you have fun with the clay. Everyone on the course had many items that they could take home and be proud of. Lunch was delicious and intimate (in Trisha’s gorgeous and cosy kitchen) and just another highlight of the day. Thank you so much Trisha! I really look forward to another day of glazing.

This is not simply a pottery day. It is a day to shed your everyday stresses and strains and relax with clay. I highly recommend going with some friends and letting the warmth of Trisha's company wrap you up in good conversation and companionship.

What a wonderful way to spend a day. Creativity and warmth just oozes from Trisha which put us at ease and inspired us to totally relax and enjoy the experience. It was a joy to be creative in such a beautiful place with a very interesting lady. We look forward to returning to glaze our pieces. Thank you Trisha.

This was just the most lovely afternoon spent with Trisha in her pottery. I hadn’t touched clay since I was very small and I immediately fell in love with it again. I can’t remember the last time I felt so relaxed and pampered. Trisha is a fabulous host (and cook!!!) and she creates a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am so looking forward to glazing the bits and pieces I made. HUGE thumbs up from me :)

My workshop was a present and I didn't really know what to expect but I had such a thoroughly enjoyable day that I will return. I look forward to the glazing of my "household gods" and their benign presence in my house. They will remind me of Tricia's benign care of me; she is a nurturing mother in all respects as the homemade bread and brownies would attest. I would thoroughly recommend one of her workshops and know that the participants will be as delighted as

I was rather anxious about the Pottery Day....but Trisha's welcoming character and gentle reassurance made me feel relaxed and confident.
I thoroughly enjoyed making the pots and also the visit 2 weeks later to glaze...
The delicious lunch and homemade cakes were an added bonus...I really recommend this course!
Thank you Trisha!

I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop. What a lovely way to learn about creating with clay: a warm welcome, home baked cookies to get us started, straight forward demonstration of techniques and plenty of time & clay to have a go - just brilliant! Go on, treat yourself!

I’ve attended several courses now at Trisha’s beautiful home and workshop. I had no experience of pottery previously but felt very much at ease in the relaxed and informal environment. It was a totally relaxing experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. The beautiful sculptures and pots in the house are very inspiring and the day is made perfect by fantastic home made cakes and lunch. A lovely setting with a patient friendly artist makes for a perfect day. Definitely recommended.

My friend and I spent a lovely day with Trisha. It was great to feel so encouraged to learn and experiment with clay. Trisha is a warm and inspiring teacher and sculptor, and her beautiful home and garden make for a very special day - the food was yummy too! Can't wait to go back and do the glazing.
Shirley Barefield - - #11342
We have had two wonderfully nurturing days with Trisha so far. The first to make our pots and the second to glaze them. She encourages you to play with the clay and the glazes and I have rarely seen my husband so engrossed. A delicious and relaxing lunch in the middle of the day just added to our sense of wellbeing. Thank you Trisha.

I contacted Trisha because I wanted a private, shorter pottery session with my husband (the theme of the 9th wedding anniversary is 'pottery'!)
I was not disappointed; Trisha could fit us in very flexibly, and organised a wonderful evening for us with some snacks and bubbly. Trisha is a very inspiring teacher, she taught us 3 different techniques with great materials and we both enjoyed our short evening course so much we booked to come again and glaze what we had produced. And I am sure we will be back, maybe with the kids! Thank you!

Another fantastic day at Trisha Crocker's studio! This was my third time on her course and I will be going again and again and again. A great day out learning something new each time in friendly, relaxed and beautiful surroundings. Trisha is a great teacher and inspires you to create. I can not recommend her highly enough. Good coffee and food too.
Matthew Keeler - - #10433
A fantastic day spent with Trisha, a warm welcome with coffee and homemade cakes. Then an introduction to different pottery techniques, by the end of the day I was very pleased with the many pots I had made, can't wait to glaze them now.
Great lunch too, thank you.
Lesley Pitcher - - #10426
Trisha was fantastic throughout the day, made us feel very relaxed and entertained us with her special sense of humour!!!
