About the Course
Make your own large Door Wreath for Christmas
Although we will provide much greenery here, we ask each person coming to gather a large (trolley bag size) full of mixed greenery to bring along for the course, if at all possible. We can then share out if you re happy to do that, what we have and create the most stunning large wreaths and also have great fun making them.
Below is a list of examples that we may have some supplies of - however not enough for all so we suggest you bring your own to decorate and add the final touches to the foliage if you wish - remember you will be hoping these look fresh for at least 2-3 weeks.
Holly with Berries attached - Seed heads
Feathers - Baubles - Bows
Dried Fruit i.e. oranges, lemons, limes (these can be dried on a very low heat in the oven)
Dried chilli peppers
Fir cones - sprayed white silver or gold if you like
(spray if you have )
Anything else you think may look good!
We will show you how to wire up and attach any decorations that you choose and we hope you will never consider buying a made up door wreath again.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
Welcome drinks : fresh coffee & home made biscuits and a light Aga lunch served in our farmhouse kitchen.
This price includes your materials comprising a new large oasis 16" (which can be renewed with fresh oasis year after year) There may be time to make a second wreath (these make lovely presents for friends at Xmas time). If required, this second wreath kit will cost £6 to £8. We will show you how to add new oasis to an old frame and this will mean you will know how to re use your oasis ring for following years.
Our days are considered special treats; many come back time and time again and often combine it with a short break to the Lake District.
We have been hosting and organising 'Quirky Workshops' since 2005 from our friendly family run Cycle Cafe Tea Garden on the northern fringes of the Lake District. All our tutors are carefully hand selected experts and professionals and many considered as leading nationally in their field.
