Enjoy creating your very own glass gifts in this workshop. You may use a festive theme or create your own designs. This is an opportunity to experiment with glass fusing and slumping techniques to create very special and personalised gifts.
You will be using some coloured glass and a variety of accessory glass materials; frits, stringers, confetti and how they are used, as well as the results when fused and melted.
These projects will undergo two firing processes. First a full fuse and then a slump firing to create a 3D form e.g. bowl or platter. They will be taken away to be fired in a glass kiln and then returned to Micklems Farm for collection.
A variety of moulds will be available for you to select from. Projects you will be able to select from include; a set of coasters, soap dish, t-light holders, handkerchief bowls, a variety of platters and bowls.
Enhance your glass art with a bar of soap or homemade treats to create a very thoughtful and personalised gift. Or treat yourself and make a bon-bon bowl or mince pie platter for your Christmas table.
