About the Course

This is a one day studio workshop, suitable for all abilities.

Working with clays is a great introduction to build on your artistic skills..

In this workshop you will be shown the various techniques of coiling, pinching, slabbing, and how to create textures.

You will be shown in a step by step instruction of how to create you sculpture, starting with a single block of clay.

When your sculpture is complete you will be able to add colour using slips which can be applied to greenware (unfired clay).

Your sculpture will need to dry thoroughly which can take up to two weeks before it can be placed in a kiln to be fired, therefore all finished pieces will need to be collected at a future date to be arranged.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
