Live One-to-One Celtic Knot Drawing for Beginners - Part 1

Learn the art of drawing and creating Celtic knots! This class will be conducted live, on a one-to-one basis, via the Zoom platform. In part 1, I'll take you through creating basic square and rectangular Celtic knots, as shown in the photograph. I'll take you through the methods of how a Celtic knot is created, and also some hints and tips on finishing off your knot by using shading. By the end of the class, you'll be confident in being able to create your own basic rectangular and square Celtic knots. The class is suitable for absolute beginners in drawing.

A PDF download recapping what you have learned in the class will be emailed to you after the lesson. I'm always happy to answer students' questions once the class is over, so you will have ongoing support in your Celtic knot journey too!

I’m Carrie, and I’m an artist and art and crafts teacher based in Stanley, north east England. I have been teaching art and crafts since the early 2000s and teach a weekly art and craft workshop in the local area for a social prescribing programme. Through personal experience, and having lived with depression and anxiety since the early 1990s, I know just how engaging with art and crafts can bring about a wonderful sense of wellbeing and relaxation. I absolutely love passing on my knowledge and the benefits of art and craft for wellbeing. I particularly enjoy teaching absolute beginners, so rest assured, whatever your art and craft experience, I will guide you through the process and make it as enjoyable as I can for you! I love to share my knowledge and tips and techniques, so I hope you'll find the classes fun and informative.
