About the Course

Join us for this interactive half day masterclass using the creative and stylish medium of Sculpt & Cast

Also known as Jesmonite, Sculpt & Cast is a versatile, tactile material which is gaining popularity in interior design and especially through the style of Terrazo. Created by combining plaster with acrylic, exciting results are formed by introducing natural materials such as glass, slate, metal shavings and stone as well as dyes, textures and polishes. With guidance from multi-disciplinary artist Stephanie Tudor, you will create four beautiful and unique tiles or coasters to take home with you.

Through the course of the afternoon you will learn how to mix the material, use moulds to cast, experiment by adding colour and dyes, combine other materials and finally sand back your work to expose the gorgeous patterns and colours lying beneath the surface. Your creations will be ready to take home with you and will require a varnish before use.

This course is perfect for beginners and those looking to try out a new skill. Find out more about Stephanie Tudor's architectural and environmental art practice here.
