Canal Art Weekend with Kerri Williams

Join me for an entire weekend of all things canal art! We’ll be learning how to paint in the traditional 'Roses and Castles' canal art style. You’ll be working on a large board, using the same enamel paints used to decorate the boats themselves.

In this workshop, we'll cover canal history as well as;
- development of the art,
- what kit you need (and how to treat it right!)
- Different styles of castles and canal roses.

I'll guide you through each step, provide all materials and share hints and tips along the way. You'll take home a beautiful castle scene, surrounded by flowers of the cut. If there’s something you would like to paint instead, please bring it along with you. Please note, it must be background painted in white in order to paint your castle on top.

No experience is needed, and you don’t even have to be ‘artistic’! Please don't wear your favourite t-shirt, as you'll be getting painty and stinky.

Lunch and refreshments will be available in the lovely onsite Gongoozler cafe or feel free to bring your own.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
