Description:

Click through top left hand link to our own website to see remaining 2017 Quirky courses and by using the 'keep me posted' icon you will receive the new 2018 course list when it is released in early November. Many of our early courses get booked up for Christmas presents.

Gaynor Goffe is one of the UK's foremost calligraphers and we're very excited she is coming to Greystoke, just close to the Lake District . Only rarely does she travel north. Her course was attended last year by both beginners and experience calligraphers and many have re booked - she is considered one of the best tutors in the UK and is inspiring for all levels including beginners.

Gaynor has worked with calligraphy since 1974 and has taught many of today's most prominent calligraphers. This weekend course provides a unique opportunity for both aspiring and existing calligraphy students.

Greystoke has a village pub serving lovely food, a number of lovely B and B's as well as accommodation in the surrounding areas.

Beyond Beginners

Those with more calligraphic experience can expect to improve their skill in one or more scripts of their choice, and widen their repertoire through experiment with letter form and lay-out.

What's included in the price?

Welcome drinks : fresh coffee & home made biscuits, a lovely 2 course Aga lunch served in our farmhouse kitchen or outside in the Greystoke Cycle Cafe Tea Garden as soon as it's warm enough. To finish off the day, a freshly made Cream Tea (including Aga-baked scones, cream and jam).

Our days are considered special treats; many come back time and time again and often combine it with a short break to the Lake District.

We have been hosting and organising 'Quirky Workshops' since 2005 from our friendly family run Cycle Cafe Tea Garden on the northern fringes of the Lake District. All our tutors are carefully hand selected experts and professionals and many considered as leading nationally in their field.
