About the Course

This course is run by Jilly Hazeldine, a professional calligrapher and tutor of 30 years standing and author of the book 'Contemporary Calligraphy'. The course is suitable for all levels and beginners are particularly welcome. Beginners are taught the Foundational Hand, which establishes pen skills and you can go on from there to learn basic design, the use of colour and eventually to add new scripts and techniques to your repertoire.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.

What's included in the price?

The tutor sells basic equipment such as nibs, holders, reservoirs and ink. Exemplars are provided for a nominal amount. Beginners enrolling don't need to bring anything to the first class as a materials list will be provided then.
Tea and coffee is available.
