About the Course
This five day course is ideal for fashion designers who are competent computer users but who’ve had little opportunity to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in a fashion context.
13 - 17 August 2018, Monday to Friday 10 am - 4 pm
6 October - 3 November 2018, Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm
The course focuses on producing industry-standard working drawings and production sketches. You’ll also learn the essential functions of the software that will make your life as a designer simpler and more efficient.
On this course you will:
learn new skills using the Adobe Creative Suite software
have the option to create your own brief for the week based on your area of interest (whether that is mens, womens, childrenswear or soft accessories)
discuss examples and images from industry
have time to develop your skills and personal style.
As well as demonstrating techniques to the group there'll also be time for one-to-one tutorials.
What will I gain?
By the end of the course you’ll have the beginnings of an industry-appropriate portfolio as well as a folder of software instructions and new technical skills.
Tutor Profile: Erica Horne is an experienced designer and CAD lecturer, highly skilled in the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for the fashion industry. Whilst working as a designer for the last seven years she has produced CAD work for many well-known high street retailers.
