About the Course

Our higher education level 4 HNC Ceramics course offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain practical and digital design skills and to improve personal creative practice.
Under the supervision of experienced Program Manager and Ceramicist Anna Silverton, along with an enthusiastic team of inspiring tutors who are all industry specialists, students will develop ideas and skills within the context of ‘real-world’ design-focused assignments.
At Morley our specialist ceramics, mould-making and design studios are equipped with the latest equipment to enable students to explore emerging technologies and gain hands on knowledge of ceramic materials and techniques. We also invite visiting designer-makers to expose students to a range of creative techniques and career possibilities.
At the end of the year students will have achieved a Pearson Level 4 Higher National Certificate in 3D Design; the Ceramics Pathway, and will have a wide-ranging portfolio from which to begin a creative career path. We would highly recommend a progression on to the level 5 HND Ceramics course at Morley College.

In order to ensure that you make the best possible progress on your course, you will have regular feedback from your tutor, in a constructive and supportive environment.
