About the Course

Experience the beauty and heritage of some of the remoter parts of the British Isles together with calls in Amsterdam, Dublin and Honfleur. Enjoy yarn-related excursions in Amsterdam, and on Orkney, Isle of Skye and Guernsey; exclusive to our group.

Join our expert, Sarah Hazell, for one full day and two half day workshops, plus plenty of time for social knitting and crochet. Your projects will draw on the traditions of the places you visit, so the techniques you’ll be covering will include textured gansey stitches from Holland and the Channel Islands, lace and fair Isle from the Scottish Isles, aran and cables from Ireland and crochet from Honfleur, since it is believed that crochet was first developed in France. The workshops will provide an in-depth focus to the various techniques.

If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
