Bookbinding for Beginners with Georgia from deBuriart Workshops

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn all you need to make a series of different folded, glued and sewn books, no matter what skill level you currently have! Taught by artist Georgia de Buriatte, in the beautiful Nutshell Arts Centre in Winchester.

The workshop will begin with a few simple folded techniques, to get you used to the terms and methods needed for the more complex styles. We will then explore some glued, and sewn methods, and even some ways of applying hard covers!

The books make wonderful gifts, or can be kept as sketchbooks, notebooks, or anything else you might like!

Equipment will also be available to purchase if you love the method and want to explore more at home. All materials including papers will be supplied, but do feel free to bring anything you'd like to include! In fact this is encouraged as it makes it more tailored to you!

Methods covered:
Folded zine
Saddle bound
Hard cover with exposed spine (there are some other options too if you're a speedy binder!)

14 years + (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult workshop attendee). Cancellations cannot be refunded if made after 72 hours before the workshop.
