About the Course

This one day course will introduce you to the next level of Blacksmithing and hand forge work. Completion of our Blacksmithing Beginners course or some previous experience is required.

It aims to advance your skills to the production of a multi part piece such as a candle or tea light holder or hook rack.

Forges are hot and can be noisy- eye & ear protection will be provided and please wear solid boots and clothes suitable for working in (made of natural fibres). Forges can be smoky, if you have any respiratory ailments please bear this in mind.

Participants must be fit and agile enough to stand all day by the forges, wield a hammer multiple times and be outside in the weather at this time of year.

What's included in the price?

All materials and tool use are provided for you on the day.
Refreshments and biscuits throughout the course.
Please bring a packed lunch, notebook and pen. PPE is available where applicable.
Cafe on site doing light lunches Thursday-Sunday.

All green woodworking courses are based outside. Most other courses inside based but bring clothing/footwear/sunscreen etc. suitable to working outdoors in the season you attend.

*Due to Covid-19 we have taken the unfortunate decision to suspend some of our courses. As the situation changes we will suspend / re-introduce courses as applicable.

Anyone currently booked onto a course in March or April which we are re-scheduling will have priority booking on a re-arranged course or be issued with a 12 month voucher.
