A fantastic day to experience the skills and art of Blacksmithing. Richard has years of experience and has been a past tutor at Hereford College and at his own School of Blacksmithing for 40 years. After a short introduction and demonstration, students make their way to their own forge/anvil and begin to create. Whatever you ability you will come away with some wonderful pieces to impress your family and friends. Students from 17 years upwards will each be given as much attention as a group setting affords.
Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
You’ll be greeted with tea/coffee to break the ice and get to know your fellow students.
Tea, coffee, biscuits to last throughout the day and bottle water are provided.
Lunch is NOT included.
All equipment is provided as is metal for all small projects.
Protective eye wear is provided and MUST be worn at all times.
Leather gloves are provided and are yours to take away.
Please wear cotton or natural fibre clothes, tee shirt or shirt with long sleeves.
Long trousers/jeans. Shorts are NOT acceptable.
Please wear sturdy shoes - sandals or flip flops are NOT acceptable.

Richard provided a course that suited participants of all abilities. I was able to relive my experience of forge work that I acquired when I was at school in the early '60s and with appropriate guidance I was able to proceed at my own pace. I can recommend this course to anyone.
