About the Course
Have you ever thought back to those childhood days spent tying some string to a bendy stick you found in the garden, then spending the remainder of day running around thinking your Robin Hood until the dreaded moment that stick broke and you would be left wondering why? That doesn't happen in the movies! Well BowCrafty is here to pick up where you left off. Whether you have turned into a serious archer since then or if you just want to spend weekend crafting your very own bow. At BowCrafty you will the learn the skills and techniques required to craft a bow that could give Robin Hoods a run for its money.
If its your First time at a BowCrafty weekend over the two day course you will make the This pyramid style flatbow The limbs and working parts of the bow you will be making are made from Native ash or cherry with a lamination of bamboo to provide extra strength. It is a small class of a maximum of Four people so you will have one to one instruction and demonstration of each step allowing you plenty of time to move along at your own pace. By the end of the second day you will have a chance to try out your very own bow so no need to worry about being a complete beginner as there will be a demonstration provided on the correct shooting technique.
