About the Course
Learn to sew - 4 complete beginners workshops, in Worcester.
Get to know your sewing machine, and make a project each week.
If you are new to sewing, looking to take up a new hobby, or return to sewing, this is the course for you. Four x individual 3hr workshops where you will get to know your machine, and learn how to make an item each week.
You can bring your own machine if you have one (plus spare needle and bobbin), or if not I have one you can use.
We will start with the basics, and then move on to make a drawstring bag, cushion cover, tote bag and learn how to insert a zip and lining.
This course is a combination of my beginners workshops. (Can also be booked separately).
I have over 35 years experience sewing, from learning to sew as a child making dolls clothes, progressing to dressmaking, home furnishings (curtains and blinds), accessories, always to professional standards. I design and make my own patterns, and work as a freelance tutor. I hope you will come along and enjoy my workshops, where I am happy to pass on lots of information and tips.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All materials are included, please bring your sewing machine if you have one. Sewing machines are available for use, there is a small charge for the day to cover repairs and servicing.
Tea, coffee, soft drinks included.
Thank you for the amazing workshops you have provided the last couple of weeks; I am thrilled with all that I have made under your guidance and patience, and it has given me the confidence to try other projects on my own.

Had a great day with Judi Glover on her learn to sew and made a fantastic envelope cushion cover, a drawer string bag and drinks coasters, all of which we were able to take home. I had never used my sewing machine and by the end of the day felt completely comfortable with it. I was with a lovely group of ladies and Judi couldn’t have been nicer, so patient and informative. I have already booked my next course, curtain making next!

I recently attended the beginners workshop, had a great time and was useful to finally be able to use my sewing machines. Judi was both helpful and patient as i was an absolute beginner. The tote bag and coasters were an added bonus to have something to take home upon completion.

Thank you for doing a 1 to 1 session for me. I had not used a sewing machine in such a long time and you were very patient. I really enjoyed it and the 3 hours went very quickly. Will be coming back for the cushion workshop. Highly recommend
