Come and learn the basics of sculpting with wool with award-winning felt and wildlife artist, Alison Spaven, otherwise known as The Crafty Wytch!
This full day course takes place in my tiny village art gallery in Naburn near York and because it's so small, only two people can attend at any one time - so you are guaranteed a lot of one-to-one tuition!
From learning how to handle the needle - a very different technique from hand sewing - to creating basic shapes, you will firstly create a simple mouse and then progress to a free standing, wire-legged robin.
You will also take away a basic kit containing a needle, some wool samples and a sponge, as well as a list of my tried and tested suppliers.
I have set aside Saturdays as teaching day, so all you have to do is contact me (see link above) giving me some dates you can attend, and I will get back to you and confirm the date. The course runs as and when it is booked, giving you more flexibility.
We get together at 10am and you should be finished at 4pm, and you will need to bring a packed lunch.
If you will be redeeming a CraftCourses gift voucher on this course, the voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All materials and equipment are included, as are tea, coffee and biscuits.
