In-person course

Evening Beginners hand built ceramics courses with The Down to Earth Pottery

We are two ceramicists, with different skills, who run a beginners hand built course which lasts 6 weeks. Experienced potters are also welcome.

We teach coiling, pinchpotting and slab work as well as sculptural techniques.

The six weeks are fairly structured so that all techniques are covered and different clays are used. After that, it is up to you! - but we do have lots of inspirational items and images to help you to develop your own skills and style.

Sessions are two hours long.

We run afternoon sessions as well.
Because of COVID 19 numbers are restricted and you bring your own mug!

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 2 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.

What's included in the price?

Price is £15 per session. £90 for 6 weeks
All materials are included but there is a small charge for firing of items.
Tea and coffee are provided as well as home made cake.
