These full day workshops last from 10.30-3.15pm with 45 mins for lunch and are ideal for those who have never tried glass fusing before or who would like a refresher.
The day starts with an explanation of glass fusing using lots of samples to inspire ideas for your own projects. Attendees go on to learn how to cut glass and the rest of the day is free to make whatever you want.
As the tutor, I provide many different forms of support including techical and artistic guidance (if asked) and ideas - whatever you need from me.
I aim to ensure my workshops provide friendly and supportive environments for new students. Everyone is welcome from ages 16+, provided you are able to work relatively independently and have reasonable dexterity. If you wish to bring along a child below 16, please contact Yvonne at CKJ Artisan in advance.
Yvonne is an experienced fused glass tutor and artist at Creek Creative Studios in Faversham, Kent. Numbers in each class are kept small for lots of individual attention. Classroom has disabled access (toilets require walking up a slope or stairs).
Most of the workshop dates are now full so I have removed them from this page. Those that have 1 or more spaces available are listed in the right-hand column. Do get in touch asap if you'd like to book.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course
fee, please fill in the contact form above. Your voucher code must be
provided at the point of booking.
What's included in the price?
All basic materials and equipment are provided in the cost of the workshop. Tea/coffee/soft drinks and a snack will be available on each day.
Lunch is not included in the cost but Creek Creative Studios has an award winning free-from cafe and is also based in the town centre so you will have plenty of options for food.
In addition, you can purchase specialist dichroic glass if you want to use it.
