About the Course
Why not try enamelling and beading in a fun, relaxed atmosphere? Suitable for those who have never enamelled/beaded before, and those whom may have, create a piece of enamel jewellery that you can take home at the end of the session.
Complete beginners or intermediate enamellers/jewellery makers welcome.
Enamelling is the application of powdered glass to metal and fired in a kiln to produce vitreous enamel. Different techniques are available to try, sifting, stencils work, embedding decorative media, wet packing and sgraffito. Then learn the essentials to make beaded jewellery, how to use the tools to fix findings and different beading techniques to create a piece of enamel jewellery.
Teresa will demonstrate and guide you through the all processes involved.
Throughout the session you will have a choice of different copper shapes, a variety of beads and be able to produce a piece of jewellery, which you will be able to take home on the day.
