About the Course
This five week evening class, run by both Fiona and Chris, is suitable for beginners who would like an introductory course in working creatively with clay. You are also welcome to join the course if you have a little prior experience and would like to refresh or build upon your skills. Various approaches and techniques will be demonstrated, and you can then make pieces of your own design.
It will include handbuilding, pressmoulded dishes and handmade tiles, wheelthrowing, surface decoration- applying colour, texture and pattern and glazing. Each weekly session is from 6 - 8.30pm on Thursdays. New processes are covered each week, and you will learn about handling the clay at different stages.
Small class sizes (max 7 in this class) so lots of hands-on support; all materials and tools are provided; and all work will be fired for you.
£170 per person, inclusive of materials, preparation and firings.
